Arlee Lumgair travelled to Edmonton for a few days last week to visit with former Waseca residents Carol and Don Hamelin. While there they attended and enjoyed the Laurie Morgan Show.

The ladies' boot camp class in Maymont will be entering a team in the annual Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation, Run for the Cure. To show your support for the team please join them June 24 at 6 p.m. for a steak night at the Maymont Hotel.

What a fantastic weekend the second weekend of May was in Unity. The weather was grand and events were plentiful.

The ladies of Riverbend Fellowship Church held a salad supper May 13 in the Borden Seniors' Room, with close to 30 out to enjoy a great variety of salads. Special music was provided by Becky Loewen, Shauna Schmidt and Lori Janz of Waldheim.

The Borden Dance Club held their recitals the evening of May 7 and afternoon of May 8th in the Borden Community Centre. There were 32 dances on the program and some were different at each recital.

It's been a winter of world class chamber music in the Battlefords thanks to a series of recitals entitled "Music For Your Soul" presented by local artists pianist Jaya Hoy and mezzo soprano Lisa Hornung.
