More than a month without a leisure services director, Canora town council agreed during the November 17 meeting to continue the advertising process. Six applications came in as result of the first round of advertising.

Hockey action kicks off with exhibition games

The Preeceville atoms, novices and midgets kicked off the hockey season with exhibition games. The atoms took to the ice first, taking on Wynyard on November 14. The game was evenly matched with both teams scoring one goal in the first period.
