This year, for the 10 th consecutive year, the United Church Women at Kamsack have made and donated mittens and scarves to the Victoria School to help assure than no child would be without their warmth during the cold days of winter.

They’ve been an increasing cost and, as a Council, we have to make sure spending is in the best interest of the community. — Yorkton Mayor, Bob Maloney The City of Yorkton is once again conducting a review of the fire department.

Multicultural Week has been declared in Yorkton for the week of Nov. 14-22.

The City of Yorkton will put forward a resolution at the upcoming Saskatchewan Urban Municipalities Association (SUMA) Convention. The decision to but forward the resolution was a unanimous one for Yorkton Council at its regular meeting Monday.

Thanks to all who helped in any way to make our church noon luncheon a successful event. Thanks to those who braved the weather. Next noon luncheon will be Wednesday, Nov. 18 from 11:30 – 1:00 p.m. Hope to see you all out for dinner.
