Imagine winning on a Scratch ’n’ Win ticket, thinking you had just pocketed $100. Now imagine you had actually won $10,000. That’s what happened to Eunice Coghill of Kamsack when her Bingo Double Deal ticket won much more than she had expected.

New and returning members were welcomed by the chairman, Larence Chomos, during the October 28 meeting of the Sunrise Health Region board.

Affinity Credit Union, which has branches in Kamsack, Pelly and Norquay, is being thanked by the Saskatchewan Craft Council for its support of the WinterGreen Fine Craft Market and local artists.

Many persons won prizes at the Ukrainian Catholic Women’s League of Canada tea and sale held November 7.

A long-time Kamsack banking institution which is no longer in the community has made a significant donation to the Assiniboine Valley Medical Centre.

Merv Malish of Canora announced last week that he will be seeking nomination to be the Progressive Conservative candidate in the Canora-Pelly Constituency for the provincial election to be held April 4.

By Breanna Morin The Norquay Emmanuel Lutheran Church held its semi-annual two-day rummage, tea and bake sale on October 22 and 23.

After their annual Halloween parade at the school on October 30, the Norquay Kindergarten students were taken on a bus trip to the community’s nursing home where they entertained residents by reading poems.
