Karl Lapshalla now living in New Hope Lodge in Stoughton has moved around a lot throughout his life. Between Saskatchewan and Manitoba, he has worked on farms, in schools, and as a foreman with the highways.

Memories are made of this and that

As I write, the global community, at least much of it, is celebrating Mother's Day. My mom is gone now but time has no power to erase the memories I have of her. She was everything a kid, or a teen, a new mother or a proud grandmother could want.

A week ago, a ferry sank into the ocean off of Â鶹ÊÓƵ Korea and more than three hundred people died or are still missing. People wished and prayed for a miracle to save some passengers in the ship.
