The Carlyle RCMP detachment received 53 calls to service from Sept. 5-11. 911 Three 911 calls were received. Two were static lines and one was a hang-up originating from a business in Carlyle.

I read about a couple who'd eaten lunch at a roadside diner. After they'd left and travelled a fair distance down the road the woman realized she'd forgotten her glasses. Her husband turned the car around and headed back, complaining all the way.

Cracking the code

It was an uncharacteristically brief phone call. Having been friends for five years and having just completed grade 7 we were typical girls who could see each other at school all day and still find things to talk about on the phone in the evening.
