MacKenzie Valentine is the program co-ordinator for Cornerstone Family and Youth Centre in Carlyle. Taking place at the library is a 鈥渄rop in and play鈥� program. This program provides a story, a snack, and a craft for children under five years of age.

The Carievale 4-H Beef Club held their regular monthly meeting on Oct. 7 at the Carievale Golden Years Centre with 16 members present. Kamryn Gilliland called the meeting to order and the 4-H Pledge was recited.

A fire drill was held at Arcola School on Tuesday, Oct. 8 with Kisbey Fire Department (KFD) in attendance. Students exited the school promptly when the alarm sounded. It occurred just after 1 p.m.
