Nolan Riddell holds this eight-pound jack fish caught from White Bear Lake recently. It’s common to catch plenty of walleye on the lake, but a jack fish of this size is rare. The lake has been a popular destination for anglers this year.

Golf champions crowned at event

The Golf Kenosee Ladies Club held their annual golf tournament Aug. 7, with 26 teams and 104 women competing in the four-flight event. As each team completed their round, they enjoyed a delicious roast beef dinner served by Club 19.

Golf Kenosee again has prevailed in the Moose Mountain Ryder Cup Challenge over the team from White Bear Lake Golf Course. The two-day event was won by a score of 19-5.
