Golf champions crowned at event

The Golf Kenosee Ladies Club held their annual golf tournament Aug. 7, with 26 teams and 104 women competing in the four-flight event. As each team completed their round, they enjoyed a delicious roast beef dinner served by Club 19.

As each team completed their round, they enjoyed a delicious roast beef dinner served by Club 19. The Charity Brown team won the event by retrogression, as both Brown and Bonnie Sidloski shot a 66.

Connie McIntyre’s team fired at 69 to come in third.

In addition to winners for flight and proximity holes, there were prizes for fun holes, raffles and a pot of gold draw.

Shanna Kosior’s team won the second flight, with Carla Weatherald in second and Leyda Loeb in third.

In the third flight, Rilla Kapell’s team was first, Caroline Guest’s was second and Bette Walker’s wound up third.

The fourth flight saw Val Cawood in first, Lynn Brady in second and Marion Evans in third.

Closest to the pin was Brenda Fornwald, the longest drive went to Angela Rygh, and the longest putt was won by Laurie McDonell and Raquel Carlson.
