Junior Crusaders perform well at home tourney

The John Paul II Collegiate boys' team came so close to winning their home tournament, but since it was the first tournament of the season they have to be happy with the result. The boys competed with Medstead, Meadow Lake and Maymont.

Sports Calendar Sept. 24 to Oct. 3

SEPTEMBER 24 Battlefords Midget AA Barons will play Meadow Lake in exhibition action. Game time is 7:30 p.m. at the Civic Centre. SEPTEMBER 25 Battlefords AAA Stars will host Regina in the first game of the regular season. Game time is 2:30 p.m.

Touch Football League update

The Rhinos remain the team to beat in the North Battleford Touch Football League and they picked up two more wins in the past week. Sept. 16 the Rhinos ran over the Western Can Slammers 40-0 and Tuesday they beat the Huskies 20-12.
