Team runs up medal count

The NBCHS Cross-Country Running team drove to Macklin Sept. 15 for a competition and ran their way to many medal performances.

The NBCHS Cross-Country Running team drove to Macklin Sept. 15 for a competition and ran their way to many medal performances.

The team consisted of Brooke Forbes, Zena Johnson, Taisley Isaac, Braden Driedger, Liam Bassingthwaighte, Troy Tyndall and coach Allison Hawryliw.

The students have to run a distance between 3 km and 6 km depending on their age. Isaac came in second place for the 3 km run. In the 4 km run Johnson came in second and Forbes came in fifth. In third place for the 5 km run was Driedger. Tyndall received fifth and Bassingthwaigte came in ninth for the 6 km run.

NBCHS had a very good tournament and are looking forward to the next one in Wilkie Sept. 23.
