The Preeceville Pats midget hockey team brought home the B-side banner after playing in a best-of-three games series against Grenfell. The first game was held in Grenfell on March 9 with the Pats suffering a loss with a final score of 4 to 3.

A total of 22 4-H club members participated in the District 18/19 4-H public speaking competition that was held March 19 at the Canora composite School.

The Preeceville Pats bantam hockey team is still in the race for the A-side banner in the Minor Hockey League. In a best-of-three match-up, the first game was held in Yorkton on March 21 with a 3-1 win.

The Ketchen Lake Bible Camp is sponsoring a drive to collect clothing as well as small household items.

The final bonspiel of the curling season concluded with the Matt's Home Hardware bonspiel held form March 20 to 26. There were a total of 16 teams entered with the Perry Keller rink topping off the bonspiel for first place.

( see photo gallery below ) Jess Olson of Preeceville won the biggest fish caught at the Nelson Lake ice fishing derby on March 18. The Endeavour Eagles club sponsored the first-time derby.

Yoga is about feeling better about individual mental and physical wellness, said Kristen Ramsey, yoga instructor. Ramsey has begun offering yoga classes in Preeceville at the Club 60 senior centre beginning March 20.

(see photo gallery below) The goat project, which is part of the Assiniboine Beef and Multi 4-H club, started its first meeting of the 2017 year by burning off some energy at the farm of Billyjoe and Quinn Townsend near Preeceville on March 18.
