The Weyburn Comp senior band practiced over the lunch hour on Friday, as they prepared music pieces for the upcoming Weyburn Rotary Music Festival in March, and their band trip this spring. The band is comprised of Grades 10, 11 and 12 students, and is directed by Brayden Jensen.

Assiniboia Park students back on ice learning about curling

Students in Grades 5 and 6 from Assiniboia Park Elementary School spent the morning at the Weyburn Curling Rink learning the basics of curling, from throwing a rock to sweeping. Teachers and parent volunteers had groups of students on each sheet of ice as they went through exercises in how to throw a rock, how to read the skip's directions and how to sweep a shot.
