The Weyburn Comp Eagles hosted the Estevan Elecs for the annual Co-op Challenge volleyball series on Wednesday evening, with the Elecs coming out on top.

The Weyburn Rotary Club delivered their pledge of $50,000 to the Weyburn and District Hospital Foundation on Thursday, for the new hospital under construction.

The Weyburn Comp Eagles cross-country team took part in the SHSAA districts in Oxbow on Oct. 4, and eight members will advance to the provincial finals.

All proceeds from the online auction will be contributed to the total goal of the 42nd Weyburn Communithon.

Producers are starting fall field work such as weed control, harrowing, hauling bales, cleaning corrals and moving cattle to stubble fields.

A number of events and activities will be held at the Weyburn Public Library in October, including the fall book sale, a concert and pumpkin carving.
