Golf Club hires new pro; opens Christmas Store; announces contest winners

The Board of Directors of the Weyburn Golf Club have announced the appointment of Brett Berkner to the position of general manager/head professional at the Weyburn Golf Course.

Estevan tournament update

Well, Wade Bell's 10 & under Carlyle team was in Estevan this past weekend for the Atom tourney. It was a bright and early start. The team was on the ice for an 8 o'clock game Saturday morning against the Weyburn Blues.

CP Wings have busy season

The Crescent Point Energy Wings Peewee "A" team has had a busy start to the hockey season. We have won seven out of eight games played. Our loss came when we traveled to Moose Jaw on November 14.

Russian team to play Weyburn girls

The Weyburn Bantam McDonalds Angels girl's hockey team will have the opportunity to play with international competitors on December 16. A female team from Russia will join the Angels at Crescent Point Place at 7 p.m.

Many firsts for 6 & under Cougars

On November 20th the Cougars went to Arcola, it was a close game, with goals being scored by Colby Cuddington, with assists from numerous players on the team. Kaysha Turner's Quick feet on Defense also helped keep us in the game.

Pee Wee Cougars take 3rd in Brandon tournament

The Pee Wee Cougars travelled to Brandon last weekend to play in a 12 team tournament. The Cougars dominated their pool defeating the Brandon Bruins 13 to 2, and the Kenora Red Lions, in their yellow jerseys, 10 to 2.

Lumsden boy wins Grey Cup experience

A 12-year-old boy from Lumsden had the opportunity to help kick-off the 98th Grey Cup from on-field with the Saskatchewan Roughriders as the Scotiabank Kid Captain.

Wings finish November on winning note

The Wings have taken their last three games serious and know that every game now counts towards their playoff run come the New Year. Weyburn has dispatched the Notre Dame Hounds, Estevan Bruins and now the Kindersley Klippers.
