A number of Weyburn area families came out on Saturday to have fun trying out archery, building birdhouses, learning about wildlife and fishing, at a family fun day hosted by the Weyburn Wildlife Federation at their clubhouse. There was also a barbecue, and displays about identifying animal tracks and looking over a collection of pelts of animals that live in Saskatchewan.

Judy Martin Memorial Duck Derby will take place on Sept. 8 at the dog park in Woodlawn Regional Park. The event, one of the key fundraisers for the local non-kill shelter, will see up to 4,000 rubber ducks racing to win one lucky participant a grand prize of up to $15,000.
