The new outdoor swimming pool was officially opened to the public on July 1 at the Weyburn Leisure Centre. This was held in conjunction with the City's Canada Day celebration. About 935 children and adults registered to swim on the 1st.

The Weyburn Chamber of Commerce held their annual Fair Parade on July 5 as a kick-off to this year's 102nd Exhibition. The Chamber chose three parade entry winners in separate categories.

The Helen Davidson Music Award committee has announced the recipient of the $2,000 scholarship. Britney Alexander will be the recipient of the 2010 scholarship for her piano playing skills.
