The Carlyle detachment handled 66 calls last week. Two of them related to stolen vehicles, and as they have not been found yet, police would appreciate members of the public keeping an eye open for them.

Boogie Fest a hit once again

Motorcycles and bike enthusiasts took over Carlyle on June 24 and 25. With more than 580 people in attendance, the streets were full, Lions Park was busy, fun was had by all and last year's attendance record was surpassed.

They came from far and near - a Diamond Star from Alberta, a Cessna 206 from Manitoba, a Piper Comanche from the USA, and aircraft old and new from across Saskatchewan.

Free fishing July 10

July 9-10 is Saskatchewan's family fishing weekend, which means people can go out all over the province and fish without a licence. The Moose Mountain Wildlife Federation is going to help people get out to fish on July 10. From 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
