With the beginning of November, I was reminded of an annual month-long event that will soon be evident upon the faces of men all over the world - Movember.

A good year on both sides for agriculture

Farmers are enjoying what is a near anomaly in terms of agriculture, good prices on both the livestock and grain side of things. The idea of mixed farms, producing both grain and livestock, was once the norm as a natural buffer against low prices.

The Manor school staff and students are hosting a benefit supper and auction this year in support of Shawna Englot, who has recently been diagnosed with cancer. The benefit aims to raise money to help with costs incurred during her treatments.
