Weekly RCMP Report

The weekly report is prepared with the assistance of the Carlyle RCMP. Issues involving the Mental Health Act, among others, are not reported. The report of this week covers the period of October 28 to November 4.

The report of this week covers the period of October 28 to November 4. The detachment assisted with 67calls during that time period.

October 28

RCMP responded to a call in Kenosee regarding property damage. A 20-year-old female was located and arrested. No charges were laid in the matter.

RCMP responded to a false alarm to a business in Arcola.

The detachment received a call concerning a male individual that was stumbling down highway 13. Members attended, but were unable to locate the individual.

Members received a call regarding a collision out at a gravel pit site. Some heavy equipment had damaged a passenger vehicle at the site. No injuries resulted from the incident. The individual reported the accident for insurance purposes.

The detachment was notified of an abandoned vehicle that was reported as an obstruction on a street in Carlyle. Members contacted the registered owner.

October 29

The detachment received a report of a stolen vehicle from Carlyle. The complaint indicated that the driver was driving erratically. Members attended and the stolen vehicle was located. The 39-year-old male driving the vehicle was intoxicated. He was charged as a result of blowing over 0.8 and due to the stolen vehicle.

RCMP received a complaint of assault with a weapon in Carlyle. A 20-year-old male was arrested and is facing charges of assault and assault with a weapon.

The detachment received a call regarding a possible fraud. The individual had been contacted by phone. The individual did not allow the caller access to their computer and as a result, no information or money was lost. Additionally, police reported the call to phone busters as they keep a national log of the computer.

Police attended to a call of assault with a weapon in the area. A 45-year-old female was arrested and is facing charges of common assault.

RCMP received a complaint of uttering threats in the area. Members attended and spoke to all of the persons involved in the incident. No charges were laid.

Police received a call from the Manor district concerning a complaint of mischief and an erratic driver. Members responded and located the individual. The investigation is ongoing.

The detachment received a call regarding a suspicious vehicle that was travelling slowly on highway 13 in the Kisbey area. RCMP located the suspect and checks confirmed that the individuals were sober and travelling slow due to weather conditions. RCMP appreciates receiving these calls to ensure the safety of all travelers.

RCMP received a 911 call about people fighting in the area. RCMP were unable the individuals that were fighting.

October 30

Police received a call from the Kisbey area concerning mischief. A 50-year-old male was arrested and removed from the home. The victim did not want charges laid.

RCMP received a report of a vehicle rollover. No inquiries resulted from the incident

The detachment responded to a call about a suspicious person in Redvers. The individual was located and no offense had been committed. No charges were laid.

RCMP received a complaint of an individual uttering threats. Members attended and spoke to both parties. No charges were laid.

A report was received of a stolen vehicle from Carlyle. The 2000 Jeep T-J has not been found at this point. Police are still seeking information on its whereabouts.

A false alarm was received from a residence in Carlyle.

RCMP responded to a call of mischief to a residence in Carlyle. Members attended and the intoxicated male had fled the scene. No charges were laid.

The detachment received a call regarding a break-and-enter to a cabin at Whitebear Resort. Members attended and no evidence of a break-and-enter was found.

RCMP received a call from an intoxicated male creating disturbance in a home. Members attended and no charges will be laid.

October 31

A false alarm from an Arcola business was received. Staff members on site were able to inform police that the call was false prior to their attendance at the scene.

RCMP received a complaint of an erratic driver on highway 9 in the Carlyle area. RCMP was unable to locate the vehicle.

November 1

RCMP received a call regarding a back window of a car that had been smashed out. Police are still investigating.

Police received a report of a collision on highway 13 by Arcola. Members were on scene for a couple of hours to ensure safety of drivers during accident clean-up. No injuries resulted from the incident.

The detachment was called to another accident on highway 13 in the Arcola area. No injuries resulted but charges are pending.

RCMP received a report of someone in possession of weapon in Wawota. RCMP members investigated and were not able to substantiate the complaint.

The detachment received a 911 misdial. RCMP members were able to ensure that no emergency had occurred and no assistance was needed.

Members responded to a call of an assault in the Kisbey area. A 33-year-old female was arrested and the matter is still under investigation.

November 2

RCMP received a call concerning theft of fuel from a sit in the Forget area. The matter is ongoing

Police responded to a false alarm to a residence in Wawota.

The detachment received a call concerning a collision on grid 605 north of Kisbey. RCMP attended and no injuries resulted from the incident.

Police received a call of an erratic driver on highway 9. Police were unable to locate the vehicle.

November 3

A failing to stop at a stop-sign ticket was given to an individual in Carlyle. The ticket issued had a fine of $230.

A speeding ticket was issued in Carlyle to an individual speeding in a school zone. The offence resulted in a $125 ticket.

RCMP received a call of an abandoned vehicle at highway 13 near Carlyle. Members attended and the registered owner of the vehicle was contacted.

The detachment received a call from Redvers concerning theft. Vehicle rims had been stolen off of a truck that was parked in a compound. Members attended and the investigation is ongoing.

A collision occurred on highway 9 south. No injuries resulted from the accident and no charges were laid.

A 50-year-old woman was arrested for assault in the Carlyle area. She will be appearing in court on charges.

A 19-year-old male was arrested in the Carlyle area. He was charged with failing to comply with undertaking conditions.

RCMP responded to an assault in the Carlyle area. Members investigated and there were no injuries. Alcohol was a factor and no charges will be laid.

November 4

RCMP received a call from a Carlyle business concerning a disturbance. Two males were arrested. The individuals who were intoxicated were held in cells until they were sober.

Members attended a collision at the intersection of highway 13 and number 9 north. Further investigation indicated that oil was present on the highway at the collision site. The Highways Department was contacted to clean up the site. No injuries resulted from the incident.

The detachment received a call concerning a hit and run at Kenosee Lake. A parked vehicle was side-swiped by an unknown vehicle. The matter is ongoing.

RCMP responded to a call to residence in Carlyle area for mischief. Members attended and spoke with a 56-year-old male who was intoxicated and causing problems at the residence.

A 20-year-old male was arrested for being intoxicated and causing problems at a business in Carlyle. The individual was lodged in cells until he sobered up. He was later released to family.

RCMP had a report of a theft at a residence in the Carlyle area. The individual was later located and it was deemed that there was no theft.
