I currently had a few days off and decided to head back to the other side of the province; this meant a drive of just over four hours. I always notice the different licence plates I pass or the ones that are on the vehicles which pass me.

The Wawota Lions Club held their 18th Annual Farmers and Ranchers Golf Tournament on July 13. With hot weather and clear skies it was an enjoyable day. It began with a buffet breakfast held at Golf Kenosee in Club 19 between 7 a.m. and 8 a.m.

Health Canada has issued a warning concerning miniature laundry detergent packs. The detergent packets are quite attractive to children as they are colourful with a squishy texture.

SaskPower proposes rate increase

SaskPower President and CEO Robert Watson announced their plans for the future on July 10. With the growing population of Saskatchewan and implications for this growth to continue well into the future, SaskPower has proposed a rate increase of 4.

Kenosee Lake Kitchen Party set to start

On its way to another successful year is the Kenosee Lake Kitchen Party, a noted treasure of the area. On July 28 the Kids' Camp begins and will run until July 31. Week One camp will then start on Aug. 3 running until Aug.7.
