John Frederick Bonter

John Frederick Bonter passed away quietly in the early morning of Thursday, November 7, 2024, at the age of 82. Born on March 4, 1942, to Edward Wesley and Ella Irene Bonter in Sapperton, BC, John was one of their five siblings, and the family lived mainly in the City of Surrey, British Columbia. John worked in Accounting and also extensively in Long Distance Trucking. Over a decade ago, John moved back to his desired Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan, near what was Moose Jaw Bible College, now Aldersgate College, where he loved his studies in his youth.
 
John was predeceased by his parents, and also by; son Peter Bonter, sister Fern Hicks, sister Lyla Ritter and her husband Karl. John will be sadly missed by his children; John (Wanita) Bonter, Brent (Theresa) Bonter, Scott (Danette) Bonter, Lana Piche, and daughter-in-law Brenda Bonter; plus three foster daughters; Karen, Linda, and Sharron, and remaining siblings; Edward (Shirley) Bonter and Raymond (Debora) Bonter, and also brother-in-law Jim Hicks, plus many; grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins.

John was always a so-beloved; respectful, quiet, modest, and an unassuming gentleman, in every sense of these qualities. He will undoubtedly be missed by all those who knew him. This very fine jewel has passed into Glory.
 
A graveside internment service will be held on Thursday, November 21, 2024, at 11:00 am at the Rosedale Cemetery in Moose Jaw at 1804 Caribou Street West. For those so wishing to attend please meet outside the gates at Rosedale Cemetery at 10:45 am. The First Free Methodist Church Pastor, Barry Taylor, will officiate.
