LLOYDMINSTER – There have been more adjournments for a Lloydminster man facing weapons and violence-related offences in Lloydminster, Sask., and Red Deer, Alta.
Jason Krysta, 31, had an appearance scheduled in Lloydminster Monday on his Saskatchewan charges but the matter was adjourned to Thursday. He also had an appearance in Red Deer court on his Alberta charges and the matter was adjourned to May 4.
In Saskatchewan, Krysta was arrested Nov. 20, 2021, and charged with assault causing bodily harm, assault, break and enter to a home in Lloydminster with intent to commit an indictable offence, two counts of threats to cause death, two counts of theft of a cell phone from two separate people with threats to use violence, theft of keys with threat to use violence, mischief by damaging a door, and failing to comply with a release order.
In Alberta, Krysta was arrested after an incident on Jan. 11, 2022, and charged with robbery with a firearm, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, uttering threats, aggravated assault, assault with a weapon, possession of a firearm in a vehicle, unauthorized possession of a firearm, pointing a firearm, possession of a firearm contrary to an order, disobeying a court order, and failing to comply with conditions.
The charges against Krysta haven’t been proven in court, in Alberta or Saskatchewan.
