We have certainly been able to enjoy our fall with all the beautiful weather we had in October.

The Neilburg School Community Council hosted a Harvest Hoedown Oct. 6.

Honoured Royal Lady Dorthea Hocher began the Oct. 10 meeting of the St. Walburg Royal Purple by wishing all a Happy Thanksgiving. Terry Krzak's talent for decorating in the fall theme spruced up the tables nicely.

Bingo was played at the Maidstone Drop In Centre Sept. 30 with Joan Smith and Margaret MacEachern doing the calling. The card game 500 was played Oct. 3 with Jean Stewart and Margaret MacEachern providing lunch.

The Chapel Gallery has a number of activities for you to enjoy this fall. Join Doreen Kalmakoff for Enhancing Photographic Reference. This workshop is Saturday, Oct. 22 from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.and registration is $60.

We are enjoying the fall weather even though we are experiencing some below zero temperatures at night. The geese are still around feeding on the stubble fields and many of the leaves are still making a colourful landscape.

Due to a lack of members able to attend an Oct. 4 meeting of the Maidstone Legion Ladies Auxiliary No. 142 was not held. Members are asked to mark their calendars for the next meeting, Nov. 1. This will be the last meeting before the Nov.

Lisa Hornung and Jaya Hoy are holding the first concert of their new concert series, Music for the Soul, Sunday. The concert, which will take place at 3 p.m.
