Enthusiastic, young musicians entertain seniors

Twenty-nine seniors attended a Dec. 15 monthly potluck supper at the Battleford Hillcrest Centre. They enjoyed a birthday cake in honour of Minnie and Ron Plum's birthdays. They both turned 90 in December.

Children's Christmas party hosted

Children in Speers and area were treated to an afternoon Christmas party. About 15 children attended. There was colouring for the younger children. The group then made Christmas ornaments to hang on the tree.
Artistic momentum carried forward

Artistic momentum carried forward

A two-year artistic pilot project funded by the Saskatchewan Arts Board came to an end this December, and the completion was marked with an exhibition at Chapel Gallery.

Winter concert warms up an evening

Students from North Battleford Comprehensive High School's music program took part in their annual winter concert. The concert was opened by the school's jazz band. The jazz band is offered as an extra-curricular activity at the school.

The elementary students at Neilburg Composite School held a delightful Christmas concert Dec. 14 in the gym. It was based on the story of Peter Pan by J. M. Barrie. A Christmas Peter Pan was written and adapted by Kathryn Schultz Miller.
