Many residents from the Village of Invermay attended a Cake and Coffee social event to welcome the new owners of the J&K Caf茅 on November 27.

Though the Canora Chamber of Commerce has been in existence for only a couple of years, it was time for the organization to dissolve, said Steve Merriam, the president, following a meeting on November 23.

There are 13 newly certified babysitters in Canora thanks to a the annual course offered by the Canora Wheatland Lioness Club.

The growth of disc golf in the Parkland region took another step recently with the formation of a new association to promote the sport.

On November 25, while going over the receipts for the first day that Trifon鈥檚 Pizza and Family Restaurant was open in the Canora Centre Mall, Rose Gray (owner), said that the patronage volume was a pleasant surprise.

A tribute was made to the late Paula Danylchuk, who was said to be the originator of the Canora Hospital Auxiliary鈥檚 annual Christmas Carol Festival. The tribute was made during the 49 th annual festival.
