Perfect timing between the formation of the Canora Composite School Social Justice Group and the announcement that one of their members, Kelsey Chupa, would be volunteering in Kenya over the summer, allowed for members of the club to put the proceeds

Canora Soccer Club members decided to celebrate Father鈥檚 Day with a weekend father-child game and barbecue that members hope will become an annual tradition.

Donna Rock began her first season as manager of the Canora Golf and Country Club with the facility opened for the season on April 15.

A ribbon was cut at the Canora Junior Elementary School on June 27 to announce the opening of an exciting new school project: a soup garden sponsored by businesses in the community.

Global Vision held a National Youth Ambassador Caucus in Ottawa this month, and students from Canora Composite School were invited to attend. Megan Tomilin, Mina Mykytyshyn, and Dale Weinbender travelled to the conference.

A Lebret couple that has published a book on Ukrainian churches in the Saskatchewan countryside was in the area last week distributing copies of their book, which they received from the publisher on June 6.
