Saskatchewan Roughriders sign Regina native Mitch Picton to contract extension

The Saskatchewan Roughriders have signed National receiver Mitch Picton to a contract extension. The six-foot-two 200-pound receiver has played all nine of his CFL seasons with his hometown Saskatchewan Roughriders.

The Saskatchewan Roughriders have signed National receiver Mitch Picton to a contract extension.

The six-foot-two 200-pound receiver has played all nine of his CFL seasons with his hometown Saskatchewan Roughriders.

Picton was initially selected in the fifth round, 37th overall of the 2017 CFL Draft.

In an injury-interrupted 2024 season, Picton suited up for 12 games, making 16 receptions for 185 yards and two touchdowns.

Before his time with the Roughriders, Picton spent five seasons with his hometown University of Regina Rams. In 38 Canada West games, he made 170 receptions for 2,447 yards and 24 touchdowns. In 2016, he led Canada West in catches (58), receiving yards (834) and aerial touchdowns (11) on his way to being named a Canada West All-Star and a First-Team All-Canadian.
