On Saturday evening, the Saskatchewan Rush will open the 2024-2025 regular season on the road against the Albany FireWolves inside MVP Arena.

Saskatchewan is coming off a 2-0 preseason, which included wins over Las Vegas (13-8) and Toronto (11-9). Robert Church scored four goals in each contest, while Brock Haley had three goals in the win over the Desert Dogs. Thomas Kiazyk and Frank Scigliano picked up wins between the pipes, while Jake Naso scored 73% at the stripe.

Returnees and Rookies: Saskatchewan’s roster features a loaded mix of veterans with over 1200 combined NLL games played to mentor the four newcomers Levi Anderson, Brock Haley, Matt Acchione and Jake Naso on the active roster.

Albany went through November’s exhibition slate with a record of 1-2, defeating Halifax 20-9 thanks to a five-goal performance by Travis Longboat. The Wolves lost 14-10 and 10-9 against Rochester and Philadelphia in their final two preseason games. Between the pipes, Doug Jamieson will defend the cage again, coming off a season where he posted a .800 save percentage and 10.12 goals-against average.

Capital Region: Last year’s NLL runners-up returned all their stars this season. However, their most significant off-season addition is the highly touted college star Dyson Williams, who was the first overall pick in 2023.

The faceoff from MVP Arena is at 6:00 p.m. SK Time.

The Rush are back at Co-op Field for the home opener presented by SaskTel on December 14th, when they will face the Halifax Thunderbirds!
