Former Moose Jaw Warriors forward Tanner Jeannot was traded to the Los Angeles Kings on Saturday.

LAS VEGAS -  Tanner Jeannot is off to Hollywood.

The former Moose Jaw Warriors standout was dealt from the Tampa Bay Lightning to the Los Angeles Kings Saturday at the NHL Entry Draft in Las Vegas. The Lightning received the 118th pick in the 2024 NHL Entry Draft and a second-round pick in 2025.

Jeannot played four seasons with the Warriors from 2014-18, putting up 77 goals and 170 points over 267 games. That included a 40 goal, 80-point season during the Moose Jaw's storied 2017-18 campaign, where he served as an assistant captain as the Warriors finished first overall in the WHL. He signed with the Nashville Predators as an undrafted free agent that off-season, and made his NHL debut with Nashville in the 2020-21 campaign.

Jeannot had a career-high 24 goals and 41 points with Nashville in 2021-22, and finished in the top 10 in Calder Trophy voting as the NHL's top rookie.

He was dealt to the Lightning by the Predators prior to the NHL's 2023 trade deadline for several assets, including a first-round pick in 2025.

Jeannot has 42 goals and 38 assists in 227 career NHL games, and has added 314 penalty minutes.
