A public stake holder's meeting was held in Weyburn recently to discuss the possible need for a new facility to house a variety of programs that would serve the residents of the city and beyond. The event was hosted by the Weyburn Wor-Kin Shop Corp.

The Weyburn and district Labour Council contributed $677.25 to the Soo Line Historical Museum on June 14 in honour of Canadian labourers.

Construction of Weyburn's new outdoor pool is almost complete, according to Director of Leisure Services Mathew Warren."We are waiting to get the stairs done for the twin slides and the diving boards have to be put up as well," said Warren.

Synchro Saskatchewan has announced the 2011 Canada Winter Games Team that will compete as Team Saskatchewan next February in Halifax, Nova Scotia, including Weyburn native Crysta Geisler.
