A small gathering of residents met at the Weyburn cenotaph in Memorial Park on Wednesday morning, in support of the One Million March for Children, including many marches and rallies held across Canada in support of parental rights. Some of those gathered had a petition for people to sign, and others had signs such as "Protect Parental Rights" and "Let Kids be Kids".

A meet-and-greet event was hosted by the Weyburn Legion on Wednesday morning as part of National Legion Week. Veterans along with current and past members of the Weyburn Police Service were on hand to meet with members of the public, and displays of memorabilia were available for viewing.

Two representatives of the Settlement Workers in Schools program (SWIS) gave a presentation to the trustees of the Holy Family school division.

Everything has been moved into the new home for the Family Place, with the grand opening slated for Friday, Sept. 29 at 10 a.m.
