Weyburn Lacrosse hosts a day of games for home teams

The Weyburn Lacrosse Thrashers had a full day of games on Saturday at Crescent Point Place, with teams from U11 up to U17 hosting teams for lacrosse action.

WEYBURN – The Weyburn Lacrosse Thrashers had a full day of games on Saturday at Crescent Point Place, with teams from U11 up to U17 hosting teams for lacrosse action.

The U11 Credit Union Thrashers had two games against the Moose Jaw Mustangs Red team, and they won both, by scores of 3-1 in the morning, and 4-2 in the late afternoon.

Goals in the first game were by Jett Fox, Owen Eberle and Henry Riviere; in the second game, by Fox, Bennett Baumgartner and two by Eberle.

The U15 Young Fellows Thrashers had a 5-5 tie with the Swift Current Rampage, with Hudson Maloney getting three of the goals, and Shiloh Mickler the other two.

The U17 Weyburn Panther Drilling Thrashers edged out the QCMBL Chill 9-8.

Scoring goals were Alex Labrecque with four, Brody Morrice with two, along with singles by Max Vennard, James Ashworth and Branson Lee, who scored the winning goal with eight seconds left in the game.

The U13 Weyburn Securities Thrashers were edged out 7-6 by the Swift Current Rampage. Weyburn’s goals were by Felix Wawro, Simon Wawro (two), Julie Labrecque (two) and Ryder Stepp.

The U15 Weyburn Completely Branded Thrashers had a 4-3 loss to Swift Current, with Weyburn’s goals by Steele Ozmun and Chayse Willoughby (two). Swift Current scored the winning goal with 32 seconds left on the clock.

The U13 Weyburn Young’s Equipment Thrashers edged out Swift Current by a score of 4-3.

Weyburn’s goals were by Bentley Wilson, Cohen Baumgartner (two) and Judd Vennard.

The two U15 Weyburn teams then played each other, and the Young Fellows beat Completely Branded by a score of 8-5.

Young Fellows goals were by Korven Pouteaux, with two in the first period, along with Nathan Rosengren and two by Hudson Maloney; then three goals were scored by Completely Branded, by Willoughby, Maddox Mohan and Leo Missal, leaving the score at 5-3 after two periods.

In the third, Pouteaux scored two more goals along with one by Mickler, while Mohan and Missal both scored for Completely Branded.
