Games will continue until Saturday night

Fifteen teams entered fun event

The Weyburn Wildlife Federation hosted their 3D archery shoot on Saturday at the Goodwater Rink, the first in two years, with a variety of 3D targets of various sizes, set at varying distances. Each target had a circle on it for points, and archers tried hitting the targets at both the close, smaller targets and the larger targets at the back of the rink.

The Inspiration of Dance competition was held at the Cugnet Centre.

The first annual Hockey Canada Skills Academy Showcase was held at Crescent Point Place

Teacher Caroline Gillies submitted photos of students from her Grade 1/2 French Immersion class, as well as the Grade 4 English class, who went outside to try maple syrup snow candy as part of their studies about how maple syrup became a staple in Canada

A total of 95 entrants took part in the Weyburn Wildlife Federation's first fish derby, held Sunday afternoon at Mainprize Regional Park. The holes were pre-drilled, and prizes were available for the biggest pike, walleye and perch caught. The derby was catch-and-release, with each fish weighed and then released back into the lake.

The Weyburn Comp Eagles junior girls basketball team took on Rocanville in a district playoff game on Thursday, and were edged out by a score of 28-22. The game was held in the WCS Eagle gym, with many students on hand to cheer the Eagles on.
