I was resting quite comfortably in the ER, in a special area set aside for patients who come in complaining of chest pain. It's like a V.I.P.

So much for transparency and let's bid farewell to their mission, vision and value statements. The Sun Country Health Region just hasn't been able to escape negativity these past few months. They just don't seem to get it.

The Editor, The grip of winter and influenza seem to go hand in hand. You may have been hearing reports of larger numbers of influenza cases in Ontario being referred to as a "flunami.

Dancing is highly overrated. It's only good as a precursor for a love scene in a movie or maybe as a little therapeutic exercise to unlock that knee replacement you had three years ago.

The Reeve and Council of the Rural Municipality of Moose Creek (RM) need to take action to be more democratic and to more appropriately spend the taxes paid by RM ratepayers.

When I got to the ER, there were probably 20 or more people hanging around, waiting. It was just after six in the evening on New Year's Day. People are always hanging around the ER, but holidays are especially busy.

Pay raises for the over-privileged

On a recent television program there was a report on inter-generational transfer of farmland. It is an issue which has gotten some attention in the media, but perhaps less than it deserves, depending on what future someone has for the farm sector.
