Silver Seals compete at semi-finals, prepare for provincial meet

Swimmers who won medals at the semi-finals will compete at provincials, which will be held this weekend.

Members of the Weyburn Silver Seals recently competed at the Â鶹ÊÓƵ Saskatchewan semi-finals, held in Regina on July 22 and 23.

WEYBURN - Members of the Weyburn Silver Seals recently competed at the Â鶹ÊÓƵ Saskatchewan semi-finals, held in Regina on July 22 and 23. Swimmers who won medals at the semi-finals will compete at provincials, which will be held this weekend.

Charlie Ashworth competed in the male ages 11 to 12 category. He placed third in the 200 metre freestyle, fifth in the 50 m breaststroke, fourth in the 50 m butterfly, fifth in the 100 m breaststroke and fifth in the 50 m freestyle.

Emery Barker competed in the female ages 13 to 14 category. She placed sixth in the 200 m backstroke, 11th in the 100 m breaststroke, 14th in the 100 m backstroke, seventh in the 200 breaststroke and 16th in the 50 m freestyle.

Jacob Gill competed in the male ages 13 to 14 category. He placed third in the 50 m butterfly, first in the 100 m breaststroke, fourth in the 100 m butterfly, and first in the 200 m breaststroke.

Hayleigh Hovanak competed in the female ages 11 to 12 category. She placed fourth in the 100 m backstroke, eighth in the 25 m butterfly, sixth in the 50 m breaststroke, fourth in the 50 m backstroke and seventh in the 100 m breaststroke.

Alexandra Jose competed in the female ages nine to 10 category. She placed fourth in the 100 m backstroke, 10th in the 50 m breaststroke, 11th in the 100 m freestyle, ninth in the 50 m backstroke and 17th in the 50 m freestyle.

Lyndsay Kirkpatrick competed in the female ages nine to 10 category. She placed eighth in the 100 m backstroke, 19th in the 100 m freestyle, 20th in the 50 m backstroke and 26th in the 50 m freestyle.

Tamberly Kreger competed in the female ages 15 to 17 category. She placed second in the 200 m backstroke, 100 m freestyle and 100 m backstroke, and won first in the 50 m freestyle.

Kassandra Madriaga competed in the female ages nine to 10 category. She took third in the 100 m backstroke, won second in the 50 m breaststroke, placed fifth in the 100 m freestyle, eighth in the 50 m backstroke and sixth in the 50 m freestyle.

Minsa Manzsoo competed in the female ages seven to eight category. She placed seventh in the 50 m backstroke and 25 m breaststroke, ninth in the 50 m freestyle, 10th in the 25 m backstroke and eighth in the 25 m freestyle.

Rehaam Manzoor competed in the female ages nine to 10 category. She took sixth in the 25 m butterfly, 11th in the 50 m breaststroke, seventh in the 100 m freestyle, second in the 50 m butterfly and eighth in the 50 m freestyle.

Lucas Martija competed in the male ages seven to eight category. He placed 10th in the 50 m freestyle and ninth in the 25 m freestyle.

Bentley McKinney competed in the male ages nine to 10 category. He took fifth in the 100 m backstroke, seventh in the 50 m breaststroke, 11th in the 100 m freestyle, seventh in the 50 m backstroke and 11th in the 50 m freestyle.

Avryelle Molnar competed in the female ages 13 to 14 category. She took fourth in the 200 m freestyle, 10th in the 50 m butterfly, fourth in the 100 m butterfly, ninth in the 200 m breaststroke and fourth in the 50 m freestyle.

Dalton Molnar competed in the male ages 15 to 17 category. He placed second in the 50 m butterfly, 100 m breaststroke, 100 m butterfly and 200 m breaststroke, and third in the 50 m freestyle.

Nikolas Nukulin competed in the male ages 11 to 12 category. He took sixth in the 100 m freestyle and eighth in the 50 m backstroke and 50 m freestyle.

Daisy Popescu competed in the female ages 11 to 12 category. She placed second in the 50 m breaststroke, fourth in the 100 m freestyle, third in the 50 m backstroke and 100 m breaststroke, and second in the 50 m freestyle.

Lily Popescu competed in the female ages 13 to 14 category. She placed third in the 50 m butterfly, second in the 100 m breaststroke, third in the 100 m freestyle, first in the 50 m freestyle and second in the 200 m IM.

Avianna Scopon competed in the female ages nine to 10 category. She placed sixth in the 100 m backstroke, 14th in the 100 m freestyle, 15th in the 50 m backstroke and 18th in the 50 m freestyle.

Brenna Torkelson competed in the female ages 11 to 12 category. She placed fifth in the 200 m freestyle, eighth in the 100 m backstroke, 11th in the 100 m freestyle, eighth in the 100 m breaststroke and fifth in the 200 m IM.

Nash Warren competed in the male ages 11 to 12 category. He placed seventh in the 100 m backstroke, 14th in the 100 m freestyle, and 13th in the 50 m backstroke and 50 m freestyle.

Shay Warren competed in the female ages nine to 10 category. She took second in the 25 m butterfly, first in the 100 m freestyle, 50 m butterfly and 50 m freestyle, and second in the 100 m IM.

Zane Warren competed in the male ages seven to eight category. He placed fourth in the 50 m backstroke, third in the 50 m freestyle, fifth in the 25 m backstroke and third in the 25 m freestyle.

Cody Wig competed in the male ages nine to 10 category. He placed third in the 100 m backstroke, second in the 25 m butterfly, seventh in the 100 m freestyle, second in the 50 m backstroke and sixth in the 50 m freestyle.

Elizabeth Wig competed in the female ages seven to eight category. She placed second in the 50 m backstroke, third in the 25 m breaststroke, second in the 50 m freestyle, and third in the 25 m backstroke and 25 m freestyle.

Topher Wilkinson completed in the male ages nine to 10 category. He won first in the 50 m breaststroke and 100 m breaststroke, and placed second in the 100 m backstroke, 100 m freestyle and 100 m IM.
