Weyburn U11 Beavers win Tier 4 provincial championship

In the gold medal championship, Weyburn had a close game with the Battleford Beavers.

WEYBURN - The Weyburn U11 Beavers hosted and won the Tier 4 provincial championships. All games were hosted at Jubilee Park from July 14 to 16.

In the first game of the provincial tournament, the U11 Beavers won 14-6 against the Saskatoon Cardinal Crushers.

In the second game, the U11 Beavers won 18-7 against the Sask Five Knucklers and went on to beat the Yorkton Canton Jays 15-5.

After going undefeated in the round-robin games, they once again faced off against Yorkton in the semi-final game, claiming a 10-0 victory.

In the gold medal championship, Weyburn had a close game with the Battleford Beavers, securing an 8-7 win in the bottom of the sixth, after Battlefords tied it up in the top of the inning.
