The Carlyle Hooters Rec. hockey team has honored one of their own by having the Hooters’ logo and “In loving memory” of teammate Wayne Dunn, affectionately known as “Papa”, painted on the side of the zamboni at the sports arena. Wayne passed away earlier in the year and was a long-time player for the Hooters and the men’s senior team, the Carlyle Cougars in his earlier years. The Hooters and the Cougars joined together on the ice on Oct. 27 and entertained those in attendance at Chase the Ace in an “all-in-fun” hockey game.
