ESTEVAN - The Estevan Apex U18 AA Bruins defeated the host Regina Rangers 4-1 Thursday night in Regina.
Tristan Brownridge scored in the first period for Estevan, and then Ryker Mathison and Tayson Dietze added goals in the second. Regina pulled to within two with a power-play goal early in the third, but Kade Phillips' goal late in the frame clinched the victory.
Jaxon Kuchinka stopped 26 of the 27 shots he faced.
Estevan (7-2-0-1) will visit the Sask East Oilers on Nov. 18 and 19 in Yorkton.

The Estevan TS&M U15 AA Bruins picked up three of a possible four points on the weekend, tying the host Regina Aces 4-4 on Saturday and defeating the West Central Wheat Kings 6-4 on Sunday.
Goals by Ethan Rutledge and Tucker Laurent in the first period, and Nathan Gardiner and Jayden Chernoff in the second, gave Estevan a 4-0 lead with 12 minutes to play in the middle frame. But Regina chipped away and tied the game with 12:29 to play in the third.
Quintin Sliva made 18 saves for Estevan.
The Bruins led 2-0 in the first period of Sunday's game, thanks to markers by Austin Merkley and Gardiner 53 seconds apart, but the Wheat Kings struck for two in the first and two in the second for a 4-2 advantage.
Estevan then took over, as Raif Henrion, Mason Schmidt and Boston Tait scored in a 49-second span late in the second for a 5-4 Estevan lead, and Tait added his second of the game late in the third to round out the scoring.
Sliva stopped 15 shots for the victory.
Estevan (5-3-1-1) will visit the Swift Current Broncos on Nov. 18 and the Moose Jaw Warriors the following day.

The Estevan Primec Controls Canada U13 AA Bruins dropped two home games on the weekend, 3-2 against the Swift Current Broncos on Saturday and 6-1 to the Yorkton Terriers on Sunday.
Swift Current led 1-0 through two periods. Cooper Hale scored with 11:31 to play in the third to tie the game, but Swift Current took the lead back 13 seconds later and added what proved to be the winner into an empty net with 26 seconds to play. Lucas Desautels scored for Estevan with 19 seconds remaining.
Cruz Carter stopped 32 shots for Estevan.
Owen Light had the lone goal Sunday for Estevan, scoring with 12:53 to play in the first period to make it a 2-1 game at that point.
Joseph Hozjan allowed six goals for Estevan. Carter came on in relief in the third.
Estevan (3-5) will visit the Regina Tigers on Nov. 25 and host the Melville Millionaires the following day. The home game starts at noon at the Power Dodge Arena.
