Friday night, Jan. 18, the Cougars hosted the Yellow Grass Wheat Kings and it was a game the Cougars would like to do over again . . . and they’ll get their chance, this Thursday, Jan. 24 when they head to Yellow Grass.  If you’re unable to make the trip, you can listen to the game on CJ1150.

Yellow Grass started the game by scoring just 47 secsond into the match.  They followed up with 3 more goals to end the period with a score of 4-0.

The Cougars had four powerplays to try and get on the board, but just couldn’t get the shot in.

The second period would see the Cougars get on the board with a sniper from Ty Currie.  Clayton Geiger and Brett Turgeon were credited with the assists.  Yellow Grass also netted one in the period to end the second with a score of 5-1.

The third was dominated by the Wheat Kings as they put 5 more goals up on the board.  Both teams had scoring opportunities and powerplays, but unfortunately the Cougars couldn’t capitalize on them.  Final score was 10-1.

The Cougars head to Yellow Grass on Jan. 24 and then to Midale on Saturday, Jan. 26.  You can listen to both games on CJ1150.

We host the Wawota Flyers on Friday, Feb.1.  It is our last league game and also the Pharmasave Chance To Win $25,000!  A game to be at, as there will be lots of excitement.

We love to see all these kids out supporting the Cougars. The smiles on their faces when the big guys give them high five’s heading on and off the ice are priceless and their support is greatly appreciated.
