Big Moose Baseball Tourney returns to Carlyle & Kenosee

The 2018 edition of the annual Big Moose Baseball Tournament returns to Carlyle and Kenosee Lake from Friday, June 29 through to Canada Day, Sunday July 1.

            The 2018 edition of the annual Big Moose Baseball Tournament returns to Carlyle and Kenosee Lake from Friday, June 29 through to Canada Day, Sunday July 1.

            Nine Senior Mens teams will compete this year, with the hometown Carlyle Cardinals welcoming the Arm River Indians, the Beulah (North Dakota) Blackjaws, the Estevan Taphouse Wolves, the Marysburg Royals, the Muenster Red Sox, the Saskatoon Outlaws, the Saskatoon Stallions and the Swift Current Yard Goats.

            Action begins Friday, June 29 at 6:30 p.m. at Lions Park in Carlyle with the Cardinals and Arm River playing.

            On Saturday, Lions Park games are as follows: Swift Current versus Marysburg at 8:30 a.m., the Saskatoon Stallions versus Beulah at 10:45 a.m., Estevan versus the Saskatoon Stallions at 1 p.m. and Swift Current versus Estevan at 3:15 p.m.

            Canada Day in Carlyle will start with Estevan facing Beulah at 8:30 a.m., Arm River playing the Saskatoon Outlaws at noon and Beulah taking on Swift Current at 3 p.m.

            Kenosee Lake will feature a Home Run Derby Saturday, June 30 at 6:30 p.m.

            Saturday's game schedule in Kenosee has the Saskatoon Outlaws taking on the Carlyle Cardinals at 8;30 a.m., Muenster versus Arm River at 11 a.m., Muenster versus the Saskatoon Outlaws at 1:30 p.m. and Beulah versus Marysburg at 4 p.m.   

            On Canada Day at Kenosee, Carlyle will face Muenster at 8:30 a.m., the Saskatoon Stallions versus Swift Current at 11 a.m., Marysburg versus Estevan at 1:30 p.m. with Marysburg versus the Saskatoon Stallions at 4 p.m.

            The action will end at Kenosee Lake when the Pool A and Pool B winners compete in a final game at 6:30 p.m. on Canada Day.
