Weyburn council proclaims special weeks for the city

Weyburn's city council made three proclamations on Monday night for special weeks in Weyburn this month.

WEYBURN – Weyburn's city council made three proclamations on Monday night for special weeks in Weyburn this month.

Emergency Preparedness Week, May 7-13, was proclaimed at Weyburn city council on Monday evening. The presentation included deputy mayor Laura Morrissette, Abby Kradovill, the City of Weyburn’s Safety Co-ordinator, and Weyburn Fire Chief Trent Lee.

Deputy mayor Laura Morrissette signed a proclamation for National Police Week at city council on Monday evening. The special week will be observed on May 14-20. She handed the document to Chief Jamie Blunden and Deputy Chief Brent VanDeSype.

Deputy Mayor Laura Morrissette proclaimed Economic Development Week, and handed a signed proclamation to Monica Osborn, executive director for Weyburn Regional Economic Development and the Weyburn Chamber of Commerce.
