A public information meeting will be held here, at the Soo Theatre building, with a "historic" announcement to come from the Weyburn Community Service Co-operative group

WEYBURN – Residents of Weyburn and area are invited to a press event/announcement that is going to be made at the location of the old Soo Theatre, at 138 Third Street, on Thursday, May 26 at 2 p.m.

The Weyburn Community Service Cooperative has been working on a movie theatre for some time and are ready to make a historic announcement Thursday. The group will put forward a proposal to bring first-run movies back to Weyburn again.

The theatre has been closed for the last five years after being run by Landmark Cinemas for several years.

Everyone is invited to come down and hear what the big announcement is. There will be popcorn and pop graciously supplied by Prairie Sky Co-op.
