The Carlyle RCMP detachment received 54 calls to service from Oct. 10-17.
Amber Alert
The Carlyle RCMP detachment responded to an Amber Alert regarding 10-year-old female twins from Paradise Hill, Sask. The girls and their 49-year-old mother were located at the Ramada Inn in Carlyle by members of the Carlyle detachment on Oct. 15. All three were taken into custody without incident. The children were returned to their father and the mother received medical care.
911
Members responded to a 911 call from the Carlyle area, where it was determined that the call was a misuse of 911. The caller was issued a warning as a result.
Members responded to a 911 call from Carlyle that was found to be a misdial by a child playing with the phone.
False alarm
Members attended to a false alarm at a business in Arcola.
Animal calls
Members responded to a call about three dogs running loose on Hwy 9 near Carlyle. The caller was concerned the dogs would be hit by traffic. No dogs were found.
Members also responded to a call reporting cattle on the loose near Carlyle. The complainant assisted in rounding up the animals.
Alcohol-related calls
RCMP responded to a mischief complaint from the Carlyle area involving an intoxicated 31-year-old male. Members attended and provided the individual a ride back to his residence. No charges were laid.
Members responded to a call reporting an intoxicated female and underage drinkers at a residence in the Carlyle area. RCMP investigated an no charges were laid.
RCMP responded to a call reporting an intoxicated 37-year-old male for uttering threats and smashing property in the Carlyle area. The complainant declined to pursue charges.
Traffic infractions and complaints
Members responded to a motor vehicle collision near Redvers. There were no injuries and no charges were laid.
A male was arrested and charged near Arcola for having open liquor in a vehicle.
On Hwy 361 near Alida, a 40-year-old male was charged with speeding and fined $202.
On Hwy 48 near Wawota, a 39-year-old male was fined $130, a 25-year-old female was fined $352, a 52-year-old male was fined $184, a 54-year-old female was fined $135; all for speeding.
On Hwy 13 near Kisbey, a female diver was fined $138 for speeding. Near Carlyle, also on Hwy 13, a 45-year-old male was fined $136 for speeding and a 34-year-old male was fined $139.
On Hwy 9 north, near Carlyle, a 66-year-old male and a 30-year-old male were each fined $135, a 30-year-old female was fined $140, a 35-year-old female was fined $132, a 31-year-old male was fined $139, and a 28-year-old female was fined $138, all for driving over the speed limit.
Members responded to two separate reports of erratic drivers in the Carlyle area, one of which was a report of drivers driving on grid roads using excessive speed. Both of these incidents are still under investigation.
Two 34-year-old males were each fined $580 for driving an unregistered vehicle, in two separate incidents on Hwy 13, near Carlyle and Arcola, respectively.
On Hwy 13 near Carlyle, a 29-year-old male was fined $230 for failing to stop at a stop sign.
Members responded to a complaint involving a male driver in Carlyle. The individual was arrested and charged with driving while disqualified and will appear in court.
Carlyle RCMP responded to the report of a semi-trailer with no tail lights on Hwy 9 north. Members were unable to locate the vehicle and passed on the information to neighbouring detachments.
In Wawota, a 35-year-old male was fined $175 for a seatbelt violation. Near Carlyle, a 26-year-old male was also fined $175 for failing to wear a seatbelt.
Near Arcola, a 34-year-old male was fined $175 for hauling an unregistered trailer.
On Hwy 13 near Arcola, a warning was issued to a 29-year-old male for failing tp produce proof of registration.
A 54-year-old male was fined $230 for failing to stop at a stop sign near Hwy 9 north.
A warning was issued for improper documentation on a livestock manifest to a 34-year-old male driver near Wawota.
Break and enter/Theft
RCMP responded to the reported theft of a car in the Carlyle area. This matter is still under investigation.
In Carlyle, members responded to a reported theft of gas in Carlyle. A female returned and paid for the gas. No charges were laid and it was determined that it was the driver's error.
Members responded to a report of a break and enter in Carlyle. It was determined that no break and enter had occurred.
Members attended to the report of a possible break and enter of a vehicle in Carlyle. It was determined that nothing was taken and there were no damages.
Firearms
Members responded to a call reporting the sound of shots in Moose Mountain Provincial Park. Patrols were made, but no firearms were located.
Mischief and uttering threats
RCMP are still investigating an incident of mischief in Redvers, which resulted in broken windows.
Members responded to a mischief complaint in Carlyle, where eggs were thrown at a residence.
RCMP responded to a report of an individual uttering threats in Carlyle. Members determined that no criminal offence was committed and no charges were laid.
Other calls to service
The Carlyle RCMP detachment assisted the Saskatoon Police Service by obtaining a statement.
Members provided assistance regarding a child welfare check in Redvers.
Members assisted in a warrant issued by the courts regarding a case of a male failing to appear in court.
Carlyle RCMP assisted the Regina Police Service in executing a warrant on a 30-year-old male.
A 91-year-old male from Redvers reported a lost wallet. Members responded and it was later reported to be found.
A report of a lost wallet by a 36-year-old male from the Carlyle area is still under investigation by Carlyle RCMP.
