The Carlyle detachment of the RCMP received 69 calls to service during the week of Friday, June 13, and Thursday, June 19.
911 calls
Two separate instances included static lines originating from Wawota. The cause of these calls are unknown.
In Redvers there was a 911 misdial.
There were also two instances of children playing with the phone in the Carlyle area.
A sixth call was received regarding an intoxicated individual who was arguing with people and scaring children, but the individual passed out.
The final 911 call of the week involved a complaint of an assault in the Carlyle area, which is currently under investigation.
False alarm
There was an alarm to a business in the Carlyle area. Cause of the alarm is unknown.
An alarm in Wawota was reported at a commercial site, the cause of the alarm is unknown.
Animal calls
An injured horse was reported near Kisbey.
Three separate complaints originated from Redvers regarding the same matter. Two dogs were on the loose in the town and the owner will be spoken with.
An individual in Moose Mountain Provincial Park threatened to kill their cat because it had gotten out before and there is a bylaw in place regarding cats running free.
Assault
Two assaults were reported from the Carlyle area. The first is currently under investigation. The second was a domestic situation and is also under investigation.
Assistance
Assistance was given to a couple in Arcola who are separating.
An individual in Maryfield required assistance regarding a civil matter, the purchasing of a horse.
Information was passed on to RCMP from police services in Florida regarding a message left on an individual's phone. It is suspected the wrong number had been dialed.
Child custody issues were addressed in Arcola where an individual was concerned about the issues one party has with another.
A call originated from the Carlyle area concerning a student attending school in Carlyle. RCMP determined there was no issue.
Cpl. Guider instructed a bicycle safety presentation for students at Carlyle Elementary School.
Break and enter
A breaking and entering was reported to a cottage in the Carlyle area. Two youth were arrested and charged in relation to the call.
There was a possible break and enter to a residence near Arcola where keys were taken.
A cabin in the Carlyle area was broken into and DVD's as well as power tools were reported as missing.
Disturbances
In the Carlyle area there was a call regarding individuals causing a disturbance. People were yelling and screaming outside of a residence, but was resolved once one individual left.
A report of a disturbance in the Carlyle area was reported. An intoxicated person was damaging their own property.
Failure to appear
Three individuals failed to appear for court on Wednesday June 18, which led to charges and warrants being issued for a 24-year-old female, a 37-year-old female, and a 17-year-old male.
Traffic collisions
Report of a hit and run in Redvers was called into RCMP. A 2013 Ford Expedition, black in colour, was damaged.
Another hit and run was reported during this time. In Moose Mountain Provincial Park a 2010 Chevy Traverse, gray, was damaged.
On Hwy 13 near Arcola there was a single vehicle rollover. EMS attended and the driver was taken to the hospital in Arcola and then later transferred to Regina for treatment. The accident is still under investigation.
A two vehicle collision occurred in Redvers. The drivers had exchanged information and the RCMP were not necessary for the incident.
There was a traffic collision near Wawota. A vehicle met a moose. There were no injuries to the driver.
An accident between a vehicle and a deer occurred near Arcola. There were no injuries to the individual driving.
Reported near Carlyle was a traffic collision which involved two vehicles. This matter is currently under investigation. It is suspected the one driver was unaware they had bumped into the other vehicle.
Impaired driving
A possible impaired driver in the Carlyle area was reported, but the vehicle could not be located.
Another call in the Carlyle area of a possibly impaired driver was reported. This vehicle was found and the driver was not intoxicated.
The third call of a possibly impaired driver near Carlyle led to a 29-year-old male being charged with impaired operation of a motor vehicle, driving over 0.08, and was given a ticket for having open alcohol in the vehicle.
As the result of a traffic check a 42-year-old male was charged with impaired operation of a motor vehicle and driving while over 0.08.
Mischief
A window of a shop was broken. The business is located in Carlyle and reported the mischief, which is under investigation.
Reported in the Carlyle area were persons shining flashlights into windows.
In Wawota a window was broken on a shop and remains under investigation.
Mischief in Wawota was reported and is currently being investigated.
Traffic infractions
Three individuals received speeding tickets during this time along Hwy 9 north of Carlyle. A 42-year-old male was fined $132, a 29-year-old male was ticketed $210, and a 58-year-old male was charged $140.
In Arcola there have been multiple complaints of dirt bikers and quaders riding up and down the streets. The off road vehicles are being driven by youth and regular patrols were requested in the area.
A hazardous driver was reported along Hwy 48 near Wawota. The individual did not have their headlights on; the vehicle was not located.
There was a report of a possible dangerous driver on Hwy 9 near Carlyle, but the vehicle was not located.
There was a vehicle reported in the Arcola area who was swerving all over the road, the driver was found and spoken to.
There was a report of a dangerous driver near Wawota. This matter is currently under investigation.
Requests for patrols in the early hours of the day near Arcola were asked for to watch for speeding vehicles.
Theft
In Carlyle there was a theft of a 2008 John Deere skid steer and trailer. This matter is under investigation and if anyone has any information pertaining to the file they are to call the RCMP.
Theft of diesel fuel and pipe wrenches were reported in the Kisbey area.
In Kisbey a wallet, iPod, and blue heeler pup were taken from a vehicle.
There was a theft of flags from the entrance to Kisbey that were taken.
In the Carlyle area there was a possible theft of money from a residence.
An individual in Wawota reported the theft of a key for their quad. Someone had borrowed it, then returned it, but the key is now missing.
The theft of a TV in the Carlyle area is also currently being investigated.
Theft of a minivan from the Carlyle area was reported. The vehicle was located but the owner didn't want to lay charges.
Suspicious
A call of suspicious persons were reported in Kisbey. The caller asked for increased patrols in the area.
There was a suspicious vehicle on the road. It appeared to have been in an accident and was reportedly driving sideways to compensate for the possible collision. No licence plate was obtained and the vehicle was not located.
Other calls to service
A report of criminal harassment in Redvers is currently being investigated.
Harassing phone calls in Manor were reported and are under investigation.
An individual offered a bribe to a peace officer.
In the Carlyle area a 24-year-old female was charged $200 for being intoxicated in a public place.
