The Carlyle detachment of the RCMP received 57 calls to service between Friday, June 6, and Thursday, June 12.
911
There was a 911 call at a hotel in Carlyle. It turned out that someone was attempting to transfer a call and dialed 911 in error.
Animal calls
There was a report of horses being out on Hwy 13 near Kisbey. They were rounded up and returned.
A mother dog was found with a litter of puppies in the ditch on Hwy 9 north. The SPCA picked up the animals and they are now in Weyburn.
Assault
An assault occurred in Carlyle and is currently under investigation.
Assistance
Assistance was given to the Regina Police Service with a hit and run from February this year.
Carlyle RCMP assisted Saskatoon Police Service in executing a warrant for them.
An individual let RCMP know they were taking a bicycle back from another individual and just wanted to let police know.
A request for RCMP to check on children in the Carlyle area. The kids were with a babysitter, but were checked on as their parents were in jail. Family Services were contacted regarding this matter.
Cpl. Guider took the Carlyle Elementary School grade 2 and grade 2/3 split class on a tour through the detachment.
There was a request from a resident in the Carlyle area asking how to proceed with child custody issues. They were referred to legal aid.
Assistance was requested by EMS for a mental health concern in Redvers. The individual was taken to hospital.
RCMP were advised of an individual who may have had mental health problems in the Kisbey area and the caller simply wanted to make RCMP aware.
Estevan Police Services were assisted in locating a female in Arcola by Carlyle members and the female was transported back to Estevan.
A request to locate an individual in Redvers was called in. The individual was located in court in Carlyle where he was found safe and sound.
Members were asked to help locate a 15-year-old female in the Carlyle area. She eventually returned home on her own.
Another location request was called in from Wawota. An elderly gentleman was returning to Wawota and was found at the border along southern Manitoba. Family went to pick the disoriented individual up.
Concerns regarding an individual coaching a team in Wawota. The caller was advised to approach the sports board that runs the team and request record checks of the volunteer coaches.
Disturbance
A complaint of two male persons causing a disturbance was reported. They were yelling and swearing at each other, but the two were gone upon members arrival.
Alcohol related incidents
In Carlyle a 23-year-old female was charged with impaired operation of a motor vehicle.
A 46-year-old male was charged with impaired operation of a motor vehicle and with driving while over 0.08.
There was a complaint of an individual intoxicated in a public place. A 35-year-old female was fined $200 and the subject was lodged until sober.
RCMP received a complaint of a possible intoxicated person on a bike in Wawota. Members were unable to locate the individual.
There was an intoxicated individual outside a residence. Those in the residence didn't want her to enter the house so they called police.
In Carlyle four intoxicated males were refused service at the liquor store and it was reported they may have attempted to drive away impaired. The vehicle was located and a 44-year-old male was charged with impaired operation of a motor vehicle and for refusing to provide samples.
Traffic infractions
A stop sign ticket was issued to a 20-year-old male in Redvers at $230. Another stop sign ticket was issued to a 22-year-old male in Redvers as well.
Five speeding tickets were issued during this time including a 73-year-old male who was fined $184; a 55-year-old female at $138; a 49-year-old male was fined $138; a 23-year-old female was ticketed $190; and a 38-year-old female was fined $138.
An erratic driver was reported near Wawota and was not located.
In Redvers there was a report of a dangerous driver and a request for increased patrols in the area.
A 22-year-old male was charged on Hwy 9 for not having an operators licence at $150.
There was a possible traffic hazard reported on Hwy 13 near Carlyle. There was an oversized house being hauled somewhere that was taking up both lanes of the highway.
Drivers of quads and motorcyles in Manor were reported for not wearing helmets, increased patrols were asked for.
A 22-year-old male received a 30 day suspension on his licence in Carlyle.
In Kisbey a crane touched a power line and asked for SaskPower to attend.
On Hwy 13 a vehicle was met by a semi and trailer. A rock was kicked up from the road by the semi and the windshield was broke.
False alarms
Three false alarms to the same business in Arcola occurred due to a faulty sensor.
Another alarm call was received from Redvers, but members were cancelled by property representatives.
Uttering threats
There was a report of uttering threats.
An individual called to seek advice regarding no contact and custody issues after receiving threats. They were referred to legal aid.
A report of possible threats being uttered were reported, but the victim declined to lay charges.
Threats via text message were reported, but they were determined to not be a threat.
Theft
In Moose Mountain Provincial Park a mother nature face was stolen from someone's yard and they would like it back.
There was a report of an individual stealing food from the Carlyle area, but an investigation determined it wasn't happening.
Members recovered a stolen pick-up in Arcola where a 16-year-old male, a 17-year-old female, and an 18-year-old female was charged with possession of stolen property.
Report of a stolen pick-up from Wawota was reported. This vehicle is still missing, it is a two-tone brown 1982 GMC with licence plate number 498 DWN.
Other
There was a grassfire north of Carlyle and the fire was put out.
Possible fraud is being investigated, the situation concerns a contractor and may be a civil matter depending on the outcome of the investigation.
A 58-year-old male was charged for failing to attend court and a warrant was issued for his absence.
A suspicious individual was reported at Moose Mountain Provincial Park. The individual had been fired for not knowing what they were doing. The person had said a few odd things, but there were not further issues.
A breach of the peace was reported in the Carlyle area. Reported as a possible domestic fight. Upon investigation there was no assault and there was just an argument.
