Severe thunderstorm watch lifted in southeast Saskatchewan

More thunderstorms are in the forecast for the weekend.

A severe thunderstorm watch is now over.

SOUTHEAST SASKATCHEWAN - A severe thunderstorm watch has been lifted for southeast Saskatchewan.

According to the advisory, issued just before 2 p.m. Thursday, conditions were favourable for the development of severe thunderstorms late Thursday afternoon and into this evening over parts of southeast Saskatchewan.

The advisory included Estevan, Weyburn, Carlyle, Oxbow, Carnduff, Kipling and Moosomin, among other areas in the southeast. 

A number of severe thunderstorm warnings were issued Thursday afternoon and evening. 

 

The advisory was lifted Thursday evening. 

Thunderstorms are also in the forecast for Friday and Saturday in the southeast, and there is more precipitation called for on Sunday and Monday.
