Police apprehend two youths for thefts from vehicles

Report from the Weyburn Police Service for the period of August 2 to 9: *On August 8, police investigated a complaint of mischief at the youth center. The matter is under investigation.

Report from the Weyburn Police Service for the period of August 2 to 9:

*On August 8, police investigated a complaint of mischief at the youth center. The matter is under investigation.

*On August 6, police arrested and charged a 48-year-old Regina male with possession of stolen property, break and entry and breaching conditions. This arrest was the result of patrol officers finding the suspect's vehicle with stolen metal from a local scrap metal dealer. The accused will appear in court this month.

*Police arrested and charged an 18-year-old male with marijuana possession and theft; he will be appearing in court this month.

*On August 5, police attended a fight at a local bar. Two males were charged under the local fighting bylaw.

*On August 4, police arrested a charged a 37-year-old Weyburn male with impaired care and control of a motor vehicle and refusing a breath test. He will appear in court this month.

*On August 3, police apprehended two local youths for thefts from multiple vehicles in the city. The matter is currently under investigation.

*Police investigated a complaint of threats being made to a local business. An 18-year-old female was arrested and will be appearing in court this month.

*Police were called to a complaint of a lost child. The child's family was located and she was reunited with them.

*On August 2, police attended a report of a hit and run accident at the Canadian Tire store. The matter is under investigation.

*Police assisted the Weyburn Fire Department with a gas spill at a local gas station in the city. The spill was minor in nature and was mopped up by members of the Weyburn Fire Department.

*Police attended a complaint of a domestic disturbance at a local residence. The matter was resolved without incident.

*A 16-year-old Weyburn female was arrested and charged with possessing a small amount of marijuana. She will be appearing in court later this month.

*Police members attended 156 calls for service during this reporting period, many of them alcohol related.
