聽 聽 聽 聽 聽 聽 It was a beautiful winter day on Sunday, Feb. 20, as families flocked to the McNaughton Heights Toboggan Hill as the Moose Mountain Lions Club hosted their annual Family Winter Fun Day.
聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 The fun began at noon and continued until 4 p.m. with an outdoor rink having been cleared off and flooded with their new ice resurfacer. A team of horses took families on sleigh rides, while many youth flocked to the toboggan hill to slide down the slippery slope. Despite there being very little snow, the snow that was there had been packed to be somewhat icy which made for quick rides down the hill.
聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 The Moose Mountain Lions also had hot chocolate and hot dogs available for everyone attending.
聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 鈥淚t's such a nice day out,鈥 Kent Sauter, President of the Moose Mountain Lions, explained. 鈥淚t's a great way for families to beat the winter blues.鈥
聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 鈥淩eally it's a great way to encourage people to come out and enjoy the lake.鈥

聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 鈥淟ast year we had a really successful golf tournament, and it was a good year overall,鈥 Sauter said. 鈥淲e're also always looking for new projects.鈥
