SOUTHEAST SASKATCHEWAN - Highways in southeast Saskatchewan are open again after a powerful storm swept through the region Saturday and Sunday.
Most highways in the southeast report that season conditions exist. But there are a few that report winter conditions exist.
Highways that were closed as recently as Sunday afternoon include Highway 18 from the junction with Highway 9 to the Manitoba border, Highway 9 from Carlyle to the junction with Highway 1, Highway 13 from Carlyle to the Manitoba border, Highway 48 from the junction with Highway 47 to the Manitoba border, Highway 1 from Whitewood to the Manitoba border, and Highway 8 from the Canada-U.S. border to the Qu'Appelle Valley.
Travel not recommended advisories were in place for Highway 13 from Stoughton to Carlyle, Highway 9 from the junction with Highway 18 to Carlyle, Highway 361 from the junction with Highway 9 to the Manitoba border, and for all of Highway 318.
Other highways in the southeast, including those in the Estevan area, report that winter conditions exist.
The winter storm watch has been lifted for southeast Saskatchewan.
